This print is beautiful. It's a commonly depicted subject, but it is very special. The composition, tonal quality, and movement are exceptional and evocative. The piece is true to it's title... breathtaking!

I have wanted this for my pro life bulletin board at my Catholic Church and I wasn’t disappointed. It is beautiful and it has so much meaning put in a picture. A picture speaks better then words and this picture says it all. Thanks
Artist's Description
[SYB#00] is a collection of Art Prints. Recreated in 2023 from the original design "SHOOT YOUR BANANA" to increase awareness about the barbaric hunting, trapping and killing of baboons in Cape Town and raise funds for baboon conservation and help them enjoy their natural habitat in Cape Town. The original stencil was created from a photograph taken of a monkey on Table Mountain holding a stick.
Although he looks cute, he is defenceless against these unthinkable and sickening acts, so I've left him with only a banana to protect himself, a Warhol inspired symbol of his helplessness. Created using various street art techniques, including wheat pasting, large paper slaps and aerosol on a grey textured surface to simulate a decaying urban exterior.
