Just what I wanted for a new iPhone. A special “Thank You” to artist ‘Serge Averbukh’ for the addition, at my request, to the design of my Navy rating, the lightening bolts (sparks as they are/were called) in the middle of the CPO insignia. I asked; he came through….When I use my phone, it brings back fond memories of my 20-year Navy career…. Thanks Serge….

At art festivals, I've really enjoyed watching peoples' reactions to one of my images that uses this approach with the Milky Way running straight up over the middle of the sky from one horizon to another. Some people understand what's going on while others do not and for some reason, I really enjoy hearing what people see.
I've had people ask if it's a dusky tornado or where the reflection came from. And one of my favorites is the people who ask if it was taken from a cave. So with that, I decided to play on that idea a little bit with the tent on the top of this famous location. This panoramic sequence was captured at Delicate Arch during one of the night photography workshops I run with Darren White in Arches National Park, Utah.
